Lance Corporal (L Cpl) Sarob Sambo, a Torres Strait Islander and ex paratrooper, of the 28th Commonwealth Infantry Brigade. Originally a scout car gunner, patrolling 'black roads' and escorting vehicles of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, L Cpl Sambo is now a Regimental Policeman with the Brigade in northern Malaya.
