Outdoor group portrait of nine Warrant and Non-commissioned officers of the 1st Australian Light Horse Field Ambulance on their return from Gallipoli. Identified from left to right, back row: 8 Sergeant (Sgt) Leslie Moulds from Richmond, NSW; unidentified; 62 Sgt James Thomas Burns from North Fitzroy, Victoria (later Staff Sergeant); and 98 Sgt Andrew Duncan Morrow from Ballarat, Victoria (later commissioned as Lieutenant and died of wounds in France on 21 July 1916). Front row: 930 Staff Sergeant (S Sgt) George Gilbert Jewkes from Essendon, Victoria; 56 S Sgt Henry George Jackson from Moonee Ponds, Victoria (later Warrant Officer); Warrant Officer (WO) Ernest William Lacy from Hobart, Tasmania; 3 S Sgt Charles Warden from Fairfield, NSW (later WO and awarded DCM and MID); and 58 Sgt William Earl from Fairfield, Victoria (later S Sgt).
