Abbeville, France. 1916-07-01. The wards on Howse Road at the camp which housed No. 3 AGH. The South African Hospital is in the background. The poles are for electric light which were not at this time connected. Note the small trees planted beside the tents, an attempt to improve the surrounds. (Donor W. Poate)
