German soldiers undertake daily exercise at Stalag IIIA, Luckenwalde, Germany, behind high barbed wire fences and supervised by two Irish Regimental Sergeant Majors (not in view). These German officers surrendered to their former prisoners rather than the Russian troops who liberated the camp on 22 April 1945.
