American prisoners cook a meal at Stalag IIIA Prisoner of War (POW) Camp, Luckenwalde, Germany. They are using a home made blower with a small fan arrangement made out of tins, string and cardboard. The tents seen in the background housed 400 prisoners each. Prisoners slept on a thin layer of straw under lice infested blankets.
