Ghosts! Weary Dunlop's clinic
Description
This print shows Prisoners of war awaiting attention, seated on the grass outside a hospital tent, in the jungle close to the River Kwai, where Weary Dunlop conducted a medical clinic on the Thai-Burma Railway. The print was made by Parkin for his 1993 Christmas card from the original drawing of the 13th August 1943. It is one of two prints (See also ART91030) donated to the Memorial in 1999 by artist which he used for Christmas cards for the years 1992 and 1993. The latter being the year of Weary Dunlop's death Parkin wrote that it was '...my small memorial to him'.
