Informal outdoors portrait formerly thought to be 34838 Gunner Charles Aldrich Vallack 4th Australian Field Artillery Brigade of Manly, NSW. Gunner Vallack enlisted on 7 December 1916 and returned to Australia on 13 July 1919. This image is now believed to be of Gunner Vallack's brother 61 Private (Pte) Robert Aldrick Vallack. An electrical fitter prior to enlistment on 18 May 1915, Pte Robert Vallack embarked from Sydney on 26 June 1915 on board HMAT Berrima A35. He Landed on Gallipoli on 8 August 1915. He was invalided to Australia in January 1916 and discharged on 14 August 1916.
