Description
An Australian cemetery on the Aegean island of Lemnos. The grave in the foreground is that of Colonel Richard Linton, Officer Commanding the 6th Brigade. A native of Scotland and from Middle Brighton, Vic, he died at sea on 2 September 1915 from shock and exposure following the torpedoing of the transport HMT Southland.
