Portrait of VX48124 Chaplain Charles Henry Patmore, Australian Army Chaplain's Department (AACHD) attached to the 2/21st Battalion working by the light of a kerosene lamp in his library. There is a framed portrait of a woman, possibly his wife leaning against a number of books on a shelf on his desk. Chaplain Patmore was accidentally killed as a prisoner of war (POW) in Ambon during an allied air raid attack on 15 February 1943. (Donor K. Morrey)
