Description
Two members of the Afrika Korps sheltering in a foxhole dug into the sand in the desert. The soldier on the left is pointing to the sky implying that there are probably aircraft overhead. This is one of a series of photographs that belonged to a German officer who was captured on 24 October 1942 during the Battle of El Alamein.
