Description
Palmerston, NT. 20 September 1999. Three soldiers taking photographs knealing in front of members of members of the 3rd Battalion (Parachute), The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). The troops are formed up in the Robertson Barracks compound, listening to the Prime Minister, John Howard address them prior to their departure to join the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). Identified are: Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Harriden (front row, fourth from left), Warrant Officer Class 2 Goom (next to WO1 Biden), Lieutenant (Lt) Bushby (front row, second from right), Shepherd (second row, left), and Nicholson (second row, next to Shepherd).
