Description
Darwin, NT. 11 November 1999. Private (Pte) Lord (Catering Corps) (seated, centre) and Pte Johnston (seated, right) waiting outside the Air Movements Section at RAAF Base Darwin, with their weapons and packs, prior to their departure for Dili to join the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). Pte Lord will join the 3rd Brigade Administrative Support Battalion once he reaches East Timor. He has a Camelbak water bladder on the ground beside him. Note there is an International soldier, possibly French sitting in the background.
