Description
Dare, East Timor. 12 November 1999. Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Brian Manns (front) and Private Cameron Simpson (obscured), both of the Army History Unit, standing in front of the 2/2nd Independent Company Memorial. The memorial, which is on top of a hill in Dare, is bedecked with flowers after the Remembrance Day celebrations the day before by members of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). Two young Timorese girls are standing next to the memorial.
