Description
Dili, East Timor. 13 November 1999. Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Suttor, 2nd Airfield Defence Squadron manning an International Force for East Timor (Interfet) road block and machine gun enplacement guarding the approaches to Comoro Airfield. The bunker has been dug into the ground and is reinforced with sandbags and has a timber and corrugated iron roof. In the foreground is an M72 Short Range Anti Armour weapon (SRAAW), LAC Suttor is manning a MAG 58 (7.62mm) machine gun and in the background is a Minimi 5.56mm machine gun with a drum magazine.
