Dili, East Timor. 13 November 1999. An unidentified member of A Battery, 8th/12th Medium Regiment sitting on the floor of the A Battery Headquarters building writing a letter home. The building is in the International Force for East Timor (Interfet) compound. His pack is to the left, and in the background are "postpak" boxes, decorated with drawings of balloons, cows, butterflies and hearts that have been sent from Australia to a soldier in Timor.
