Description
Dili, East Timor. 13 November 1999. The sleeping area of an unidentified member of in the tent lines of A Battery, 8th/12th Medium Regiment in the International Force for East Timor (Interfet) compound. The mosquito proofed stetcher is on a raised platform accesible via a wooden pallet used as a step. At one end is a makeshift shelf with the soldiers personal items, including a shaving brush and a bottle of water, and leaning against a tree is a mirror. To the right is a folding chair with two metal blocks in front of it, probably used as a footrest.
