Description
Dili, East Timor. 14 November 1999. A road block, guarding one of the entrances to the old Dili airfield, now used as the heliport by the International Force for East Timor (Interfet), manned by an unidentified soldier of the 5th/7th Battalion (Mechanised), The Royal Australian Regiment (5/7RAR). The roadblock consists of a row of 44 gallon drums in front of a small tent. Next to the tent is a M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) 41B (registration number 15001) of 5/7RAR, who provided the field security for the heliport. There is a .50 calibre ammunition liner mounted to the left of the turret for storing personal items.
