Description
Dili, East Timor. 19 November 1999. An M113A1 Fitter's Vehicle (registration number 134386) equipped with a .50 calibre M2HB machine gun on a pintle mount and a Hiab crane mounted on the back right, of the 5th/7th Battalion (Mechanised), The Royal Australian Regiment (5/7RAR), part of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). The vehicle is driving off the ramp of HMAS Tarakan (L129), after returning from the Oecussi enclave in West Timor. In the background are two M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs).
