Dili, East Timor. 19 November 1999. Two unidentified Australian soldiers walking up the ramp onto the cargo deck of HMAS Tarakan. HMAS Tarakan has run up onto the beach and is about to be loaded with cargo for the trip to the Oecussi enclave in West Timor. HMAS Tarakan is operating in Timor in support in support of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). There are a number of Timorese watching from behind the fence at the rear of the beach.
