Description

American M1A2-1-1 Noncombatant Gas mask. The mask consists of a rubber face mask with two celluloid eyepieces, that is attached to the head using 5 adjustable elastic straps. The rubber bears the moulded legend "LARGE ADULT" centrally above the eyepieces, above which is stamped in black "FTM10-3". A replacable grey painted metal filter of cylindrical shape, with warning and fitting instructions printed onto the front, is attached to the bottom of the face mask. The interior end of the filter is impressed " US M1 / FTM / LOT 7 3". A grey plastic expiration vent is fitted to the proper left side of the filter mounting.
