Description
Gallipoli, Turkey. 19 June 1923. An aerial photograph taken at 400 feet of the early construction of the Anzac Cemetery and Memorial at Lone Pine. The far end was to hold the Memorial. The hollow directly behind the site was known as The Cup. Old trenches stand out clearly. (Donor R.W. Murphy, Imperial War Graves)
