Description
Original letter to General Army Headquarters written by the men of the 2/19 Battalion commanded by Acting Warrant Officer Desmond Henry Mulcahy praising his leadership during their internment in a Japanese POW camp and requesting confirmation of his rank. Letter was written and signed by VX41419 Cpl Keith Pope, on behalf of the men under the command of Mulcahy, whilst they were prisoners of war under the Japanese.
