Balibo, East Timor. 18 November 1999. A burnt out and destroyed house in the village of Balibo in which five journalists were killed on 16 October 1975. The journalists, Greg Shackleton and Tony Stewart, both Australians, Malcolm Rennie and Brian Peters, from Britain and New Zealander Gary Cunningham, became known as the Balibo Five and were killed just prior to Indonesia's invasion of East Timor on 17 December 1975.
