Description
Balibo, East Timor. 19 November 1999. The sleeping area of the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) at the rear of the old Portugese fort now used as the Headquarters by 2RAR, part of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). The RSM's bunk has been made from bush materials with a camouflage ground sheet erected as a awning for shelter. Note that two pictures have been hung on the fort wall next to the bed.
