Balibo, East Timor. 19 November 1999. The village of Balibo below the old Portugese fort now used as the Headquarters for the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), part of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). Many of the burnt out houses have been repaired, and many of the foofs have been covered with blue UNHCR tarpaulin.
