Female soldiers playing cards, Robertson Barracks, Darwin
Description
Four unidentified female Australian soldiers playing cards, Robertson Barracks, Darwin. 'What immediately struck me was how young most of the women were. I don't think I came across anyone older than 25. They were young but they were so kind and competent. And so fearless. They were also emotionally balanced.' Wendy Sharpe, `Australian Women's Weekly' March 2000, p.58.
