A side view of the two pounder anti tank gun carrier which was designed and built by the Metropolitan Gas Company of Fitzroy, Vic, in 1942. The maximum speed of the Anti-tank Gun Carrier was 32 kilometres per hour, the weight was 5 tonnes, there was four crew members, the armour was a maximum 12 millimetres thick, the engine was a Ford V8 95 HP petrol and the armament was 2 PDR Anti-tank Guns and a Bren .303 in an Anti-Aircraft Role. The carrier was intended for cross country mobility as the anti-tank gun was on a 360 degree traverse. (Donor Australian Army Cinematographic Section M.G.O Branch.)
