Description

In flight. December 1942. Lancasters of No. 103 Squadron returning to Lincolnshire after a North Sea exercise. The photograph was taken by the navigator, Flight Sergeant Don Charlwood, from the aircraft B Beer, of the aircraft F Freddie, piloted by E. V. Laing, of the RAAF. Freddie was shot down over Holland on 21 January 1943 with the loss of all crew.
