Description
An A6M2 Zero fighter aircraft fitted with a long range fuel tank to the centre line, is secured to the flight deck of the Japanese carrier, Akagi. Officers and lookouts can be seen at various levels on the island and bridge in the background, which has been partially covered with padding, designed to absorb blast and debris from air attack.
