Studio portrait of 420009 Warrant Officer (WO) Launcelot 'Pat' Harrison, 463 Squadron, of Parkes, NSW. A farmer of Parkes, NSW, he enlisted in the RAAF on 10 October 1941 in Sydney, NSW, training in Victoria and then posted to Bradfield Park, NSW and Parkes, NSW. After the bombing of Pearl Harbour, he was posted to the United States of America for a short period and then to England, where he retrained as a navigator. He was killed whilst on operations over France on 4 July 1944, aged 22.
