16605 Lance Corporal (LCpl) Robert G (Bob) Groves, of Nambour, Qld, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), on his way to the quartermasters store loaded up with a pile of new jungle boots that were recently air dropped to one of the forward company bases in Sarawak. LCpl Groves later served in South Vietnam with 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR) during 1967.
