Outdoor portrait of NX1600 Corporal (Cpl) Herbert Leslie (Herb) McLeod, 2/2 Battalion, of Bonville, NSW. Cpl McLeod is having his shoes shined by a local boy. Cpl McLeod enlisted on 2 November 1939 and saw service in the Middle East. He was killed in action in Libya on 3 January 1941, aged 34.
