Description
Three members of 7th Battery, 3rd Field Artillery Brigade. " This is a card taken the other side of the large pyramid amongst two or three smaller ones with a trio of my boys on a stone image. Bomb. [Bombardier] Maxfield is on the left who went back to Aust. with Dr [Driver] Rich (sitting) & Gr Shields on the right are all of "A" Sub. [subsection]. Oh! Driver Rich is a Bathurst boy & knows all the ?Ingleashs. Identified are 1653 Bombardier Arthur Maxfield; 1731 Driver John Dawson Rich (an alias for his correct name, Colonel Renecke Mayne) and 1630 Gunner George Albert Shields.
