Unidentified men of 10 Platoon (10 Pl), D Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) (foreground), watch as other men rush in to unload supplies from a Bristol Sycamore helicopter. This platoon has been chasing after a group of Communist terrorists for the last 12 days and in order to continue the chase, re-supply of fresh men and food was urgently needed. Several Sycamore light helicopters, carrying two men and some supplies each trip, did the job. The small landing zone (LZ), which measured 40 yards by 30 yards was hacked out of the jungle by men of 10 Pl and is 3600 feet above sea level in the mountains behind Sungei Siput. It took only 15 seconds to get the men and supplies out of the helicopter before it returned to pick up another load at a point seven miles away.
