Description
A general view of the city, in the early morning. The Australian Mounted Division was approaching Homs in support of the 5th British Cavalry Division when the armistice with Turkey was proclaimed; this city, therefore, marks the northernmost point reached by the Light Horse in the campaign. The citadel can be discerned at the far end of the town.
