Burma-Thailand Railway. c. September 1945. Padre H. C. F. Babb (British ex-prisoner of war (POW)) and a bare-chested Lieutenant Jack Leemon, 26th Australian War Graves Unit standing on a stretch of the railway line. They were members of the Australian War Graves Commission survey party which searched the railway line from Nong Pladuk (also known as Non Pladuk) to Thanbyuzayat to locate POW cemeteries and recover documents and film, etc which had been secretly buried in individual graves by senior POW officers, for post-war recovery.
