Outdoor group portrait of officers, NCOs and men of the 13th Australian Army Service Corps (AASC) who had completed three years’ service in the AIF. The original members of the 13th AASC (1st Australian Field Bakery) raised on 1 December 1914, embarked for overseas on 22 December 1914 aboard HMAT Berrima (A35) and serviced at Mudros, Lemnos Island, “K” Beach, Imbros Island, Tel-el-Kebir, Egypt and Rouen, France. Officers are Major John Gregory Prior from Dulwich, South Australia, the original Commanding Officer; Captain Joseph Henry Pye from Burwood, NSW, the original Warrant Officer and later Commanding Officer of No 5 Field Bakery; and Captain Eric Isaachsen from Hyde Park, South Australia, originally a Staff Sergeant and later Commanding Officer of No 4 Field Bakery.
