Before the war, this girl was a shop assistant. Now, after a short period of training, she is operating a lathe in a munitions factory. This picture shows her at work, turning the copper driving band on 20-pounder anti-tank shots. She has been identified as Elsie Myra (Judy) Richards of Newcastle, NSW.
