A parade, totalling 38, of members of the 1st Light Horse Brigade, who had not been off the Gallipoli Peninsula. Identified, left to right: Sergeant Major Casterbrook (?Claude Cadman Easterbrook) (first from left); Corporal Edward Nicholas Farrell (fourth); Trooper (Tpr) Campbell (eighth); Tpr Smith (eleventh); Tpr Cooper (twelfth); Tpr Blew (fourteenth); Tpr Newton (fifteenth), who was killed the same night. Tpr Newton is probably 147 Tpr Owen Eric Newton killed in action on 7 August 1915. (Same image as C02752)
