Description
A view along a section of Trung-Trac Street in Vung Tau with a horse drawn cart or sulky outside a number of the popular bars touting for business in this street. The bars include; the Ly-Ly Bar, at number 32 Trung-Trac Street, the Miami Bar, the Oxford Ladies & Gents Tailor, at number 30, the Blue Angel and the Capital Bar. The bars all offered a range of alcoholic drinks and also offered patrons the opportunity to buy the bar girls a 'Saigon Tea', a non-alcoholic drink sold at a very inflated price. Many of the bar girls also worked as prostitutes and bars would frequently be declared 'out of bounds' due to the high rate of venereal disease sustained by the patrons.
