Description
Account of experiences of 7755 Corporal Leslie Garfield Plane during service with Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (AN&MEF), which seized German territories in New Guinea in September 1914. Plane then went on to serve with the 9th Battalion AIF in France during the final months of the war. Also covers lengthy periods at sea, stationed in England and sightseeing in France after war's end. Includes discharge certificate from AN&MEF and photograph of Plane in civilian clothing.
