Sopwith Camel aircraft, serial no. E7267 used by Captain (Capt) A. H. Cobby DSO DFC, No. 4 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps (AFC), while serving as an instructor with No. 8 (T) Squadron. White overall with black checks. Note absence of armanent. Capt Cobby was officially credited with the confirmed destruction in combat of twenty nine machines, the highest number of any Australian airman of the First World War.
