Description
Neat white crosses mark graves of the men who fell in the Markham and Ramu Valley campaigns. When completed the intention is for this cemetery to be the burial place of all men killed between Kaiapit and Kesawai including members of the 7th Division killed at Shaggy Ridge. Two members of the 19th Graves Registration and Enquiry Unit are removing quick growing kunai grass which requires removal by hand.
