Description
Members of No 4 (Tactical Reconnaissance) Squadron of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) are packing comforts given by American Units of the Gusap area, Ramu Valley, into an air drop container. The RAAF arranged transport and air drop of the containers to men of the 7th Division over the Christmas period 1943. A total of 67 containers, each containing 200 lbs of supplies, were delivered. No 4 Squadron members from left to right are: Leading Aircraftman (LAC) G. Kelly, Sergeant (Sgt) C. Crane, 4163 LAC Frederick Stephen Waters, Corporal J. D. Griffiths and Sgt R. Symonds.
