Description

This picture indicates the fine texture of rolls produced by men of the 24th Infantry Battalion at the 15th Infantry Brigade bakery. The recipe contains 6% wheat germ which assists in combating food deficiency through its vitamin B1 content. The rolls are delivered in air tight drums for protection against rough handling by native carriers and to ensure freshness when received by the troops in the mountains. The bakery has trained 150 cooks as unit bakers.
