Description
The Advanced Dressing Station of Koropa, Ramu Valley, manned by the 15th Field Ambulance to treat wounded from the 57/60th Infantry Battalion in their attack against the Japanese at Orgoruna 1. On the left of the track are two-man tents the quarters of ambulance personnel. Behind the Salvation Army Post which lies to the right is the high tent fly of the Field Kitchen. The Red Cross flag points to a large native hut on the extreme right showing the office end of the Advanced Dressing Station containing the regimental Aid Post. The remainder of this hut is a 12 bed medical ward.
