Officers and men of the 2/27th Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Brigade marching past the saluting base in their farewell parade at Pom Pom Valley, Port Moresby, at which Lieutenant General Sir Leslie J. Morshead, KCB., KBE., CMG., DSO., General Officer Commanding New Guinea Force took the salute. This battalion showed outstanding fighting qualities in recent action in the Ramu Valley.
