Pembroke Dock, Wales. 1943-05-29. After a large hole developed in the hull of his Short Sunderland flying boat after takeoff in the Bay of Biscay, the pilot, 400841 Flying Officer G.O. Singleton of No. 461 Squadron RAAF, landed the aircraft on Angle Airfield near Pembroke Dock. Damage was confined to the port-side wing float.
