Description
This Italian booby trap, known as IK B IV was used in the Western Desert. I t was exploded by pressure against a trip wire which released a lever of the mouse-trap type and allowed the plunger to strike the detonator cap. The charge was contained in the base of the mine and could be removed by unscrewing the plug in the bottom. Spikes on the side of the trap allowed the mine to be stuck on a wall or behind a door.
