A seaplane or flying boat alights to deliver a message to an Australian destroyer on patrol duty. (See EN0264, EN0246.) The six ships of the Australian destroyer flotilla (HMAS Yarra, Parramatta, Torrens, Swan, Warrego and Huon) patrolled the Adriatic to stop the movement of enemy submarines between September 1917 and October 1918.
